Desert View Hospital provides 24-hour emergency care for the residents and tourists of Nye County. Our services range from life-saving and life-support measures to diagnosing and treating minor illnesses, injuries and medical conditions.
Patients requiring a higher level of care will be stabilized and transferred via ambulance or helicopter to a facility that can provide advanced, specialized services as needed.
The Emergency Department is staffed by a physician, registered nurses and certified nursing assistants who work as a team to provide high quality compassionate care. Nurses are trained in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), pediatric advanced life support (PALS), pre-hospital trauma life support (PHTLS) and neonatal resuscitation programs.
Radiology and laboratory services are available around the clock to help physicians diagnose and treat patients with a wide range of medical conditions.
For non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses, such as lacerations, puncture wounds, sprains, earaches, fevers and more, call 775-751-7172 to request a time for our Fast-Track
Emergency patients are seen according to the severity of their injuries or illnesses; this is not a guarantee you will be seen precisely at your requested time. Fast-Track should be used only if you decide your care can wait. Do not wait if your symptoms or condition worsens or if you need immediate care. If you are unsure of your condition or if your condition worsens, go to the nearest emergency room or call 9-1-1.
