Desert View Hospital is dedicated to a community approach in fulfilling the needs of our military veterans to ensure they are a valuable part of a healthy community, and that the community is a meaningful part of the health of the veteran.

We have a Disabled Veterans of America office located in our front lobby to assist you with our needs. The new Veterans Outpatient Clinic is also located across the street from the hospital.

Veteran Community Care

VA MISSION Act of 2018

According to the US Department of Veterans Affairs, veterans may be eligible for care through a provider in their local community, depending on their health needs or circumstances and if they meet specific eligibility criteria. Even if a Veteran is eligible for community care, they generally still have the option to receive care from a VA medical facility.

In most cases, Veterans must receive approval from the VA before receiving care from a community provider to avoid being billed for care. VA staff members generally make all eligibility determinations for care.
