New Oncologist Joins DVH Medical Staff

Desert View Hospital is pleased to announce that Laxmi Iyer, MD, MPH, has joined our medical staff, specializing in clinical hematology and oncology care. She is board-certified in internal medicine and medical oncology.

Dr. Iyer also recently joined Hope Cancer Care of Nevada. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Johns Hopkins University/Sinai Hospital and her Fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenbaum Comprehensive Cancer Center. After earning her medical degree from Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Medical College in Pune, India, Dr. Iyer relocated to the United States and earned a Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) at the University of Texas School of Public Health in Houston. During her time in Houston, she also performed research in the Department of Cancer Genetics at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center under the mentorship of Dr. Louise Strong.

Hope Cancer Center of Nevada is located at 2340 E. Calvada Boulevard, Suite 7, in Pahrump, Nevada. Appointments can be made by calling 775-360-4933, and walk-in patients are welcome between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Most insurances are accepted.
