Desert View Hospital to Host March 23 Community Health Needs Assessment Meeting
March 13, 2017
Desert View Hospital will host a community health needs assessment (CHNA) meeting on March 23, 2017, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the hospital lobby, at 360 S. Lola Lane, Pahrump, Nevada.
The assessment is open to the public, including health professionals, medical providers and leaders from the business, education, social services and community service organizations.
The goal of the 90-minute meeting is to identify key health needs and issues through systematic, comprehensive data collection and analysis, including the rollout a community health needs survey. The CHNA meeting will also include a preliminary discussion of the health care and public health services required to meet those needs.
“We want to hear directly from our community, and this is an invaluable forum to share thoughts and ideas,” said Susan Davila, CEO of Desert View Hospital. “I hope our community leaders and residents will be able to join us.”
The results and recommendations of the CHNA will be presented at a follow-up public meeting later this spring.
The March 23 meeting will be facilitated by John Packham, PhD, the Director of Health Policy Research, and Laima Etchegoyhen, MPH, from the Office of Statewide Initiatives for the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine.
For planning purposes, please RSVP to email@example.com by March 17, 2017.
